'07.5-'12 Dodge Ram 6.7L GDP Air-Boss 67 Grid Delete (Pickup)
EGT's running too high? Can't use all of the fuel you have available? The 6.7L Air-Boss 67 Grid Heater Delete gives the largest flow increase possible short of milling the cast plenum off of the head and going to a fabricated intake such as the ZZ Fab or Hellman unit.
The Air-Boss 67 is not just a replacement flat plate. The Air-Boss 67 Grid Heater Delete is a billet aluminum, internally elevated plenum cover designed to flow as much air as possible to cylinders 4, 5, and 6. With careful machining we were able to gain a full .220" of internal height while still allowing the use of the factory mounting hardware.
Air-Boss 67 elevated intake plenums are compatible with all stock style intake manifolds and the increased airflow provided greatly reduces EGT's.
Kit includes: Air-Boss 67 intake plate, factory gaskets, fuel rail stand-offs, and intake temperature sensor sealing ring.

after pulling out the stock plenum with grid heater and seeing all the soot blockage I can see how this is WAY better. I did it removing only injectors 1-4 carefully removing stock plenum, worked fine. Love this product.

It's a bit of a pain to install but after the first one I'd probably need half the time now for the next one.
Great product, nice fit, haven't had a chance to do any long hauls yet to go into details about fuel mileage, but happy with it.

I have a 2012 Ram 2500 Longhorn 4x4. This is my first diesel and at 5k miles I installed the Air-Boss 67 with The S-3 intake horn, CCV delete kit, 5 inch Flo-Pro turbo back exhaust, EGR cooler delete, H&S Mini maxx Race tuner and man my truck is ALIVE!!! I am absolutely shocked at how good it runs. The instructions were good and install was pretty straight forward. Richard called me back and emailed me and was on top of everything I asked! Top notch stuff and great people to deal with! My mpg has went from 13.8 around town to 18 and highway went from 16.5 to 23-25mpg depending on H&S tune I'm cruising on! Engine stays cooler it seems and takes a lil longer to warm up, because of the better flow! BUY THIS SET UP FOR YOUR TRUCK! No regrets!

Richard hit this one on the head! I was a little worried about the work involved in getting this installed but truth be told, it was not that bad! I got instant lower EGT's and a noticeable power increase. Don't forget to also purchase the S2 or S3 manifold. Richard is possibly the best person in this industry to work with if he does not know the answer you bet he will get it. Stand up guy running a stand up business, no need to buy anywhere else!!!

Awesome product and great quality. Only thing to keep in mind that I came across with using and aftermarket intake horn is that you may have to grind a little off your intake due to clearance issues of the nut on the fuel line goin to injector#1. Also the short factory bolts that are next to the head were having a hard time grabbing ahold of the threads due to the thicker grid heater delete plate. So plan on buying some bolts that are just slightly longer than the factory bolts I think I had to use two. Again this is just what I ran across from using an aftermarket intake.

WOW! Now if all 6.7 Cummins owners actually knew of what engineering mistakes that Dodge/Cummins have done to the grid heater / adaptor plate, Richard owner of GDP would be on a gold mine due to the fact of his ability to design a system that actually uses the old school of AIR FLOW. I'm proud to have purchased the complete system that was engineered by GDP!!!! It works as it is advertised.....

I have had issues with high EGT's on my 2012 dodge 6.7 . The truck has had all the deletes done, 4" straight, S&B intake, H&S egr cooler delete, Mini Max. With all that done I still was not able to run the wild or hot tunes without hitting 1600 plus EGT's. I just installed the grid heat delete and the inline billet heater and I am finally able to run these tunes. Max temp now is 1475 really putting it to it and 1200 to 1350 having alot of fun. Trottle response improved, mileage improved maybe 1 mpg. The biggest benefit is the fact that now the truck stays in the hot tune. Quality product, a must for the 6.7 cummins. Thank you GDP.

This is a great airflow improvement over the stock setup.
You really should pull your intake horn off to see for yourself where the soot builds up and how the air flow has to go down into the plenum through the grid heater about an inch before it can turn towards the rear cylinders.
I installed this along with a Mega-Flo S2 & throttle valve heater & boost tube upgrade kit so I can't pinpoint what helped with what here but the truck has: better throttle response, the new grid heater cycles less frequently, engine idle is smoother, I can hear the turbo whistle more, and when coasting to a stop that slight engine surge/rpm dip is barely noticeable.
The transmission shifts smoother also but I think this is the result of cleaning all the soot off of the MAP and IAT sensors.
I'm sure the Cummins is just as happy as me!

Awesome product, an amazing difference over stock heater setup. Completely opened up the air system allowing for drastic decrease in temperatures and huge gain in flow. An increase of a 100 lb ft of torque seen when paired with the new Mega-Flo S-3 Intake Manifold. Anyone who is serious about adding power and reducing EGT's should definitely cosider this product.
