When properly completed, the Mega-Rail conversion provides approximately 50% greater capacity in key high-pressure fuel-system areas, an approximately 110% increase in plenum entrance area, and a larger 3.5" charge-air path compared with the factory 3.0" configuration.
Instead of improving one restriction and immediately running into another, the Mega-Rail was developed as a complete-system approach to the 5.9L Cummins.

Rail Pressure Sensor Tech
A compatible later-style rail pressure sensor can be used with the Mega-Rail conversion with minor electrical connector modification; however, the voltage mapping is different.
GDP testing found this configuration can result in actual rail pressure being approximately 13% higher than what the ECM reports.
Do NOT combine this configuration with a pressure box.
If your tuner provides adjustable rail-pressure settings, GDP recommends using the stock pressure setting when using this sensor configuration.
Actual rail pressure should always be monitored with an appropriate standalone gauge.
Grid Heater Options
The standard Mega-Rail conversion eliminates the factory grid heater, but cold-weather starting capability doesn't have to disappear with it.
Glacier Diesel Power offers compatible grid-heater solutions for customers who still need intake-air heating.
